From One Service to Three: Why I Opened CoolBodiSpa in 2019.

When people find out I own a med spa, they usually assume I have a background in surgery or nursing. I don't — and honestly, that's exactly why CoolBodiSpa exists the way it does.

An Army Brat With No Backup Plan

I grew up an Army brat. We moved constantly — I lived in Germany twice, plus stops all over the U.S. — and I never had extended family nearby. No grandparents down the street, no aunts who could take a week off to help out. That kind of upbringing teaches you to be self-reliant, but it also shapes decisions you don't expect it to.

When I got older and started thinking about elective procedures — the kind almost every woman considers at some point — surgery was never realistically on the table for me. Not because I was against it, but because real surgical recovery means real help: someone to drive you, cook for you, keep an eye on you for days. I didn't have that safety net, and I wasn't going to pretend I did.

Finding CoolSculpting

That's what made CoolSculpting click for me the moment I learned about it. Permanent fat reduction, without going under anesthesia, without a recovery clock ticking down before you can pick up your kids or go back to work. I could get treated and be back to my normal life the same day.

I didn't just want it for myself — I wanted to bring it to Norman. In January 2019, I opened CoolBodiSpa with exactly one service on the menu: CoolSculpting. I wanted to be great at one thing before I was good at many things.

Adding CoolTone

Fat reduction solves one problem, but clients kept asking about something else: definition and muscle tone, especially in areas where diet and exercise plateau. That's what led me to add CoolTone — and I was the first provider in Oklahoma to offer it. Where CoolSculpting reduces fat cells, CoolTone builds and strengthens the muscle underneath, so the two together cover both sides of body contouring.

Adding MedWave

Most recently, I added MedWave — medical-grade red light therapy paired with a HyperVibe vibration plate. This one rounds things out in a different direction: it's less about reshaping and more about supporting skin quality, circulation, and recovery. It fits the same philosophy that's guided every service I've added — non-invasive, no downtime, real results.

Where We Are Now

Today I'm Oklahoma's only CoolSculpting National Trainer and the state's highest-volume CoolSculpting provider, with over 5,000 treatments performed personally. But it all started from a pretty simple, personal place: I wanted an option that fit my life, and I figured other women in Norman were looking for the same thing.

If you're curious whether CoolSculpting, CoolTone, or MedWave is right for you, book a consultation — I'd love to talk through it with you.
